POMORIE

The city was an ancient Hellenic colony called Anhialo dating back to the 6th century BC. It is famous for its healing mud, extracted from the nearby lake. The healing mud is a natural product with a diverse chemical composition and physicochemical properties.

It alleviates pain, stimulates the immune system pain, improves blood circulation, increases tissue regeneration, activates the metabolism and strengthens the skeletal system.

Pomorie’s mud treats diseases of the peripheral nervous system, discopathy, plexitis, periarthritis, as well as skin diseases. At last but not least are diseases of the reproductive system, which are also susceptible to mud treatment.

The mud bath is performed outdoors, after sunbathing. The body is smeared with thick, hot mud (approximately 1 cm) and after the mask dries and cracks, the body is sprayed with sea water or fermented lake water.

The duration of the whole procedure is about 2 hours.
