Itinerary Overview
Kvadrat 500: Our tour will commence at this newest and largest National Gallery building, renowned for its impressive collection of 1,700 artworks displayed across twenty-eight halls on four levels. The exhibition highlights Bulgarian art from the mid-19th century to the 20th century, alongside medieval European art and pieces from Asia, Africa, and America.
The Royal Palace: Our next stop is the Royal Palace, which once served as the residence of the kings of the Third Bulgarian Empire. Today, it houses a rich art collection along with an ethnographic museum.
Sofia City Art Gallery: Finally, we will explore the exhibitions at the Sofia City Art Gallery, established in 1928 to preserve all material evidence of Sofia’s art up to the present day.
